Different “facts” target different groups of people online, which means offline, we can’t even agree what the facts are anymore. If we can’t agree on something as basic as the facts, how can we ever hope to understand each other’s perspectives?

I’m writing a short story!

I want to start writing fiction. You know, like creative writing stuff. Nothing serious. Short stories, mostly. My goal isn’t to get published (which would be rad), but to get better at writing. It took a lot of weeks for me to overcome my fear of the blank page, but I’ve finally found a bit of momentum. Here's my progress so far.

The brown paper felt thin and cheap in his hands. The grease soaked through before he could even start scrubbing.
